JANITORIAL SUPPLIES

SPONSORED BY: CROMWELL POLYTHENE Making the world cleaner, greener, We are an independent, family-run

business, which specialises in providing an extensive range of products for the capture

and containment of materials for recycling or storage, and collection of waste for treatment and/or disposal.

Our high-quality products, with low environmental impact, are designed to help organisations be more resource efficient. We supply products that are recyclable, reusable, or compostable, and promote the use of high content reprocessed material whenever possible, helping to make the world cleaner, greener, and more economical.

Our purpose-built headquarters and distribution facility in Leeds gives our customers access to comprehensive, sustainable solutions from stock. Now customers have, following the addition to the Cromwell group of our Alfreton- based manufacturing and recycling plant, formerly known as Moorgreen Flexible Packaging, now Cromwell Plastics Recycling Ltd.

Extensive recycling range

Our range includes recycling sacks for dry recyclables; compostable sacks and liners for food and organic waste; kerbside recycling bags; reusable recycling bags; personal protective equipment; and made-to-order products.

Our LowCO2 t range – exclusive to Cromwell Polythene

– is engineered to provide maximum performance using minimal resources. This helps to reduce the volume of plastic used, as well as cutting carbon emissions during

Sansafe and clinical waste management range

For use by healthcare, clinical and specialist waste collection companies, our clinical waste sack range includes yellow and orange UN-accredited sacks for infectious waste bound for incineration or alternative treatment, and ‘tiger stripe’ sacks for the disposal of offensive waste.

Our Sansafe and clinical waste management range also includes a tiger stripe sack which incorporates Biomaster silver antimicrobial technology. This is added during the film extrusion process. Silver ion-based antimicrobials inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, including E. coli and Legionella. This saves time, money and resources, as the bacteria which causes unpleasant smells is unable to grow in contact with the liners.

Pine Scentmaster fragrance also helps mask many unpleasant odours, both inside and outside the liners, helping visitors to have a positive impression of the facilities. These features eliminate the need to add separate antimicrobial products and intoxicating fragrances during waste collection and disposal.

Personal, protective equipment

Our Wave range of disposable gloves, aprons, and water-soluble laundry bags are widely used across the cleaning sector. Options available include a blue nitrile examination glove which has strong barrier properties and a high resistance to oils, fats, and chemicals; synthetic examination gloves; and vinyl general purpose gloves.

The gloves are suitable for most cleaning applications and are food safe, which means they are highly effective for sanitising requirements within food contact areas. The quality disposable gloves are both latex and powder free, helping to minimise the occurrence of skin irritation. They provide the comfort and performance attributes of latex, but are more cost effective and without the allergy issues with which the material is often associated.

production and transportation. We are also the sole distributor for compostable bags made from Ecopond biodegradable resin among the janitorial industry, local authorities and the waste management sector in the UK.

Our ensa range of refuse sacks are tested to EN standards and were developed with our key production partners following standards already set by major European retailers. The range meets customer demand for a fit-for-purpose product, which guarantees performance across a range of design weights.

Quality assurance

We operate to ISO 9001 standards and we are a founding member of the Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association’s (CHSA) Accreditation Scheme for Plastic Refuse Sacks, which assures buyers that ‘what’s on the box is what’s in the box’, and that the dimensions and count are as indicated on the label.
