A quick view of hygiene

Here, SC Johnson Professional explore how sealed systems can be efficient, easily maintained, and kept hygienic.

Launching alongside the fresh innovative washroom foam soap range, the new Quick-View Dispenser from SC Johnson Professional presents a variety of considerable benefits for cleaning professionals.

The new Quick-View design has transparent sides which allow full and accurate soap visibility from any angle or distance, saving time and cutting maintenance costs significantly. Guaranteed for life, the dispensers eliminate the need to open and check if a cartridge change is required, making them quick and easy to refill.

Further enhancing the washroom experience, the Quick- View Dispenser can be customised to reflect your business. From corporate branding to logos, instructions or eye-catching photographic quality images, SC Johnson Professional’s exclusive process produces dispensers with permanent decorations that are chemical and fade resistant and will last for the life of the dispenser.

Standard dispensers can cost cleaning professionals time, having to open each dispenser to check soap levels when carrying out routine maintenance. In contrast to the often messy re-filling procedure of bulk dispensers, sealed cartridges are quick and easy to change. Spills are no longer an issue, and sealed cartridge dispensers require minimal cleaning. Maintenance is extremely low – saving both time and money. In addition to this, bulk dispensers tend to deliver the same quantity regardless of the product they are filled with. This alone makes sealed cartridge dispensers a more economical option.

Furthermore, for end users these dispensers can

be inconvenient if soap levels cannot be accurately viewed, thus reflecting on the overall washroom and the business’ reputation. The new Quick-View Dispenser offers the end user ease of judgement and a more pleasant handwashing experience.

Sealed cartridges also present significant hygiene benefits to washrooms. With sealed dispenser systems, there is no contact between the product and the environment before the product is used to wash hands, thus the risk of contamination is reduced to a minimum. Sealed cartridges, like those found in the Quick-View Dispenser, are the best option for maximum washroom hygiene.

The dangers of bulk-fill

It has been proven that bulk-fill dispensers can be contaminated and are often improperly maintained. Bulk systems are not sealed, meaning they are potentially vulnerable to contamination from the surrounding environment, or from the hands of the cleaning professional refilling the system and handling the dispenser.

The widely applied practice of ‘topping up’ dispensers – refilling them before they have been completely emptied out and fully cleaned – means that the old soap in the reservoir, which may have been contaminated by germs, can thus contaminate the fresh soap added.

Even where the equipment is cleaned frequently, sometimes using very strong products such as bleach, researchers identified a high risk of recontamination, due to biofilms – microorganisms that stick together and adhere to surfaces.
