News Sponsored by Production moves to UK from China

ESP has announced that they are moving production of some of their dispensers, previously made in China, back to the United Kingdom.

The dispensers will now be manufactured in Malvern after ESP partnered up with UK technical injection moulding specialists, Talisman Plastics. The primary aim of the move is to bring production back to the UK to create more local jobs, whilst also reducing the company’s carbon footprint. In addition, a reduced lead time will enable ESP to offer more flexibility and better efficiency to their distributors.

Craig Williams, Sales Director at ESP, said: "Purchasing from Asia can have its benefits but it also comes with its challenges. Larger orders, longer lead times and different time zones are just a few, but by moving the production back to the UK, we have managed to eliminate these issues, whilst supporting local employment.”

Talisman Plastics’ Managing Director, Shaun Champion, highlighted the need for UK manufacturers to provide added value, flexibility and high quality in order to support re-shoring of UK manufacturing. He said: "We worked closely with ESP to help them re-shore production of these dispensers. Developing a close understanding of ESP’s needs was key to making this a success and we are delighted to have now forged this new partnership.”
