revealed The 66 finalists from 32 different companies have been announced for the 2020 Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards, which recognise excellence and high standards in the cleaning and FM industry.

The announcement follows the first stage of judging, carried out independently by The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc). The judges have declared that this year the standard of entries across all categories were exceptional, with the entries for the Supervisor and Cleaning Operative exceeding expectations.

Steve Jones, General Manager UK & Ireland, Kimberly-Clark Professional, said: “In 1991 we set up the Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards to recognise excellence in the cleaning industry and to inspire the raising of standards. Our mission is to create exceptional workplaces and improve washroom standards throughout every facility, demonstrating our passion to continuously improve our

industry. We are very proud to announce the finalists for the Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards 2020 who have showcased some outstanding achievements this year."

The finalists will now go through to the next stage of judging which for most categories includes a site visit by a BICSc judge. An independent judge has been appointed for the judging of the BICSc Industry Training Award. Site visits will take place during November with the judging panel looking for innovation, staff training, and client relationships as the main criteria for assessment.

Stan Atkins, Chief Executive Officer, British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc), said: “Congratulations to all finalists for 2020. This is a year of unrivalled standards with evidence of clear innovations and achievements across the industry. The judges look forward to meeting the finalists at the site visits. It is important to stress that it is the standards of excellence achieved that will be judged and not just whether the entry specifications are followed.”

The winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony on Wednesday 4 March 2020 at the London Hilton, Park Lane. Over 500 guests including finalists and sponsors, and the leading names in the UK’s cleaning and FM industry are expected to come together and celebrate.

Jones concluded: “Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit an entry to demonstrate their achievements in the industry. Every year the awards become harder to judge due to the high standard of entries and everyone should be congratulated on their amazing work. We look forward to seeing all the finalists along with our industry peers to honour their success at the awards ceremony next March.

“We wish all the finalists of the 2020 Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards the very best of luck!”
