Following two years of coronavirus causing chaos for everyone, the new crisis is financial. We’re seeing prices rising across the board as inflation hits, putting pressure

on people and businesses everywhere – and we’ve also got the spectre of a Summer of Strikes on the horizon, piling on the misery.

In our industry, we’ve been seeing these increases creep in for the last few months,

and it’s not just the rising prices of raw materials and fuel that are hammering us. The shortage of staff is causing headaches for employers – not to mention employees

having to take on extra work, risking burnout. There are no easy or quick solutions to the problems we’re facing – how are you dealing with these issues and frustrations?

In this issue of Tomorrow’s Cleaning, we’ve got an extensive feature covering

Technology in the cleaning industry. We learn about a new project creating specialist train cleaning robots, Stuart from Essity looks into the times when technology falls short when it comes to cleaning and hygiene, and Ezitracker explains how you can create a more agile workforce using digital solutions.

In our Education & School Facilities feature, Liam from Essity explores ways of making washrooms much better environments for students to use, while Peter from Robert Scott provides us with his knowhow and advice for deep cleaning during the summer

holidays. Elsewhere, in our Healthcare Hygiene focus, 2Pure Products let us know how they support Care UK with their OdorBac Tec4, and Chris from GOJO reveals why good hand hygiene is vital in the fight against infection.

Thank you very much for reading, please stay safe and enjoy the issue!
