Pacvac on balcony duty at
Buckingham Palace A backpack vacuum cleaner designed by Pacvac has played a key role in the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.
Urvin Seeburuth, Head of Marketing at Pacvac, said it was quite surreal to see one of their products being used to clean such a prestigious place on such a momentous occasion.
He said: “Pacvac is a proudly West Australian company, and while I knew our products were being used to clean Buckingham Palace, to actually see a photo of it in action blew me away. The photograph now takes pride of place in the Pacvac boardroom, to inspire all staff and remind them of how far the company has come.
“It was a real thrill for all of us to see [the photo] and it’s nice to think we contributed to the Queen’s big day. The eyes of the world were going to be on that balcony because that’s where she’d be standing, and it’s a real feather in our caps that a Pacvac backpack vacuum cleanerwas used to get it ready.
“From Kewdale to Kensington. Who’d have thought?”
Pacvac began operating in Perth, Western Australia, in 1978, designing and manufacturing backpack vacuums for the Australian commercial cleaning market. Having revolutionised efficient cleaning, its products are now distributed to over 23 countries.

Tennant UK raise over £10,000 for MNDA In March 2021, Tennant UK launched the Walk for Webby campaign to raise £10,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in support of their colleague Kevin Webb, who was diagnosed with MND in February 2021.
Not simply a fundraising exercise, the Walk for Webby campaign also had the aim to collectively complete a distance of 24,901 miles – equal to the circumference of the Earth – through a range of activities including walking, running, and cycling.
Since the campaign began, members of Tennant UK have been clocking their miles on personal runs, as well as organising community events where family members and friends of Kevin could also come and participate.
Jon Collett, Tennant MHE Account Manager, organised a live charity event at Moulton College Sports Hall in Northampton on 4 December 2021, at which people spend the day completing as many laps as they could of the venue’s 400-metre running track.
Nikki Lucas, Credit Controller for Tennant UK, and Karen Manners, Contract Renewal Officer, walked a marathon 26.2m together, raising over £400 for the charity.

Gavin Pratt, a close personal friend of Kevin’s, recently completed a 1178m bike ride (and additional 23m hike) from John O’Groats to Lands End which pushed both the distance achieved and funds raised over the target number.
Kevin said: “I am overwhelmed by the support and generosity everyone has shown since we started the Walk for Webby Campaign, and I’m so proud of how much money we have raised for such a great charity.”
As of 24 June, the distance achieved was 25,990 miles, and funds raised were £10,839. Donations are still being accepted on the JustGiving page.
Kevin, who had worked for Tennant for 35 years, has now left the company to spend his remaining days at home with his wife and son.
