LEVELLING ROUGH CONCRETE
FOR SCREEDING The Problem A 300m2
tamped concrete slab had been laid
for a new office building but badly finished off, with visible raised areas. It needed levelling for the application of a screed, followed by tiles.
The Solution A 320 Planer was employed to reduce the concrete, removing the high spots and levelling the area. The surface was then flattened and smoothed using a 250 Grinder.
The Outcome The finished result was a flat profile ready for application of the screed and new floorcovering.
POLISHING CONCRETE IN
DUST-SENSITIVE FACILITY The Problem The concrete floor in a dust-sensitive manufacturing facility needed preparing, cleaning and polishing and a low maintenance system left, for its ongoing care.
The Solution The 8000m2
area was ground smooth and polished
using the Terrco 3100 fitted with metal bonded shoes, followed by resins. For a safe and clean operation, the grinder was connected to a filtration unit for high dust particle containment. To finish, the Burnisher 430 fitted with Storm Diamond Pads was used to produce a high gloss, glass-like surface.
The Outcome The customer purchased the Burnisher 430 for its ongoing floorcare programme, together with the cleaning pads. This gave them a solution that met the requirements for the dust-sensitive environment - the Burnisher features an on-board dust collection port to ensure clean results.
