BOLD & BEAUTIFUL

We present two case studies from Polyflor whose vinyl flooring has made a statement at a London architects’ studio and provided a homely atmosphere at a York aparthotel.

HOME FROM HOME Luxury vinyl tiles from Polyflor’s Camaro PUR flooring collection were used to create homely accommodation for visitors at Staycity Aparthotels Paragon Street in York, North Yorkshire.

Approximately 5500m² of Camaro PUR wood effect luxury vinyl tiles in the White Limed Oak design were chosen to complete the interior design scheme inside the 197-room aparthotel. This new build hotel in York city centre, the company’s seventh hotel to open in the UK, features fully- furnished studio, one and two bed self-catered apartments with their own lounge/dining areas and kitchens.

Installed by national flooring contractors Titan Interior Solutions Ltd, Camaro luxury vinyl tiles were fitted throughout all areas of the apartments. The updated Camaro flooring range includes 30 stunning, authentically reproduced wood and stone effects, including the popular White Limed Oak design which features a white washed effect with warm wood undertones.

BLOC PARTY Polyflor commercial vinyl flooring from the Bloc collection was recently chosen to add a splash of colour to Rivington Street Studio architectural practice in London.

Rivington Street Studio specialises in architectural and landscaping projects for the education, housing, leisure, commercial and public sectors. The Soft Moss shade from the Bloc range has added a sense of earthiness and warmth to the otherwise minimalistic interior. The green shade was fitted by local contractors Abbotts Flooring throughout the open-plan office, meeting rooms and the communal kitchen.

Richard Trew, Associate at Rivington Street Studio commented: “We chose the Soft Moss shade from the Bloc collection as it gives our office a hit of bold colour without being too overwhelming or distracting for staff. The solid colour design looks contemporary and fits right in with our modern workspace.”

UK manufactured Bloc PUR allows customers to create a tonal, complementary or harmonious interior design scheme through the availability of 16 enticing colours. Featuring a single solid colour with a textured matt emboss, Bloc has a 0.7mm fully pigmented homogenous PVC wear layer of pure colour and a polyurethane reinforcement. The Bloc colour palette includes a range of greys, neutrals, pastels and brights.
