British flooring manufacturer Abingdon Flooring has expanded its popular Love Story Collection with Wild Silk range.
Since its launch, thanks to its ultra-soft fibres, the Love Story Collection has become exceptionally popular, so expanding this successful range would always be a tall order. The response from Abingdon Flooring was to cleverly adapt the ethos of comfort combined with groundbreaking irregular flecked detail, replicating the design of a traditional carpet.

We are a British based company with facilities in south Wales, the west Midlands and the north and south of England. We employ a total workforce of more than 300 people and have the capacity to produce over 15 million square metres of carpet every year.
Wild Silk is a cut pile saxony carpet that’s created using 100% bleach-cleanable polyester. While the manmade process ensures consistency, Abingdon Flooring adapted its manufacturing process to incorporate a unique fleck detail that doesn’t repeat. This perfectly recreates the natural variations found in Berber styles to provide a one-of-a-kind look.
Each of the 12 colour options has been chosen to tie in with key colour trends, while the fleck detail is depicted in contrasting colour ways. This means homeowners can easily match Wild Silk to contemporary interior schemes, while benefitting from a carpet that helps to disguise spills and dirt. Its heavy-weight construction lends itself well to heavy domestic settings such as hallways and staircases.
