Välinge is introducing new product ranges to the UK featuring the technologies of Woodura and 5G Dry. These are the next generation of highly innovative hardened wood floors. Woodura is a patented surface technology which gives outstanding durability and is also highly sustainable. 5G Dry is a premium water-resistant fold-down system.
The patented Woodura technology involves the fusing of a thin sheet of real wood veneer with a Compositek wood fibre core through a powder mix layer. The powder mix completely fills the natural gaps within the wood, while also enhancing the wood’s appearance. It eliminates the need for a wood-filler and creates a significantly stronger surface with a hardness three times greater than a traditional solid wood floor.

Välinge hardened wood floors are made with oak, ash and walnut from sustainable sources of timber with FSC certification. Suitable for areas with the highest traffic, Woodura provides outstanding impact and wear resistance, meaning that Välinge floors are not only easily installed, but are also suitable for virtually every room in a home or commercial area.
Ten times more flooring can be produced from the same amount of timber, compared to traditional engineered wood flooring and 30 times more flooring compared to solid wood flooring.
The 5G locking system is a single action installation method suitable for all types and widths of floor products. 5G Dry additionally provides enhanced water resistance by preventing water from penetrating into the seams of the floor panels.

5G Climb is a further variant which comprises innovative technology for wall mounting. Based on the proven 5G Fold Down system, 5G Climb uses the panels as battens and with specially designed clips, you can make the floor ‘climb up the wall’, ensuring a perfect match between floor and wall.
For the UK market it is also able to offer its hardened wood flooring in larger sizes than the competition. These sizes are as follows:
