The 1.2mm cushioning overlay (slip layer) protects the heating cables from any abrasion caused by a floating floor finish. The 5mm cushioning underlay allows the heating cable to lie in a protected layer which further reduces the chance of abrasion and reduces the height build-up by 1.5mm. This combination provides a 21dB reduction in impact sound making it the highest acoustic improvement offered by any foil underfloor heating system as standard. ThermoSphere Foil is also the only system of its type to include a continuous earth braid around the heating elements and accessible cable loops for easy installation and unrivalled safety.
