Belgium’s diverse landscape is the inspiration behind Heritage, a carpet tile collection from modulyss that’s full of Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold and Silver options that can be specified carbon neutral.
Heritage is an exploration of how landscapes shape a country’s identity through the passage of generations. Made of five carpet styles, the collection is rooted firmly in the company’s Belgian homeland, celebrating its ever-changing coastline to the west and the iconic cobblestones that have marked cycling’s great champions. “For me, it’s about a need to go back to our roots and reminisce in familiar memories,” says the collection’s designer, Ruben De Reu.

In Cobbles, Haze, Dune, Meadow and Polder, Ruben has reflected the comforting recollections of his youth. Whether the early morning mists of the river Leie in Haze, the North West coastline of family holidays in Dune, the roads of Flanders in Cobble, open fields of Meadow or the fertile ridges of Polder; it is a collection that’s uniquely personal yet adaptable to today’s offices.
modulyss has ensured that all designs and colours in Heritage can be coordinated to provide the design flexibility that’s demanded by today’s agile workspaces. With Dune, Meadow, and Polder using ECONYL regenerated fibre and the manufacturer’s own ecoBack recyclable backing, selected colours are Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold or Silver. Carbon neutral status can also be secured through the Limit Your Footprint programme that utilises the company’s CO2RE initiative.
