Gobi is the ideal solution to level an uneven concrete separating floor, providing all the benefits an underfloor heating system can deliver, with the added advantages of rapid heat transfer and outstanding acoustic performance.
The RUBBERfon Cradle and Batten system is placed on the separating floor to offer excellent impact improvement that will meet the stringent requirements set out in Part E of Building Regulations and Robust Detail constructions. Utilising high impact plastic packers and elevation blocks provides flexibility in height adjustments for safe, quick, and easy installations to the nearest millimetre. Regularised softwood battens are then used to support the HiDECK floor decking.

XFLO JB insulation boards are fitted with ULTRAplate heat emission plates and installed in between the battens. The ULTRAplate is a highly conductive aluminium plate spreading the heat evenly. Once inserted into an XFLO insulation board they provide outstanding homogenous transfer heat performance through to the floor’s surface. The XFLO is a high performing extruded polystyrene which provides excellent thermal performance to stop downward heat loss, whilst offering flexibility in pipe centres and diameters. The boards are held in place with Cellecta’s Gobi bracket ensuring that the boards are installed at the top of the system further adding to the rapid heat transfer of the underfloor heating.
Finally, the system is overlayed with HiDECK Structural, an A1 fire rated, high-density gypsum board manufactured from 100% recycled gypsum. The boards accept a multitude of floor finishes including tiles, vinyl, wood flooring, and carpet, while offering extremely low thermal resistance for rapid heat transfer.
