EASYCUBE TRIUMPHS AT FAMILY


ATTRACTION EXPO The Tork EasyCube has won the Innovation Award at this year’s prestigious Family Attraction Expo.


This achievement highlights the crucial role played by cleaning in theme parks and other visitor attractions, with the winners announced at the Family Attraction Expo on 7-8 November 2017 at the NEC Birmingham.


Tork EasyCube is facility management software that uses connected devices to provide real-time information on cleaning and washroom refill needs. The data can be accessed from anywhere by janitorial staff via smartphone or tablet.


This system allows attractions to improve their cleaning efficiency and achieve significant customer satisfaction improvements while also helping to motivate staff.


European Marketing Manager Anna Königson Koopmans said: “We are delighted to have won this award.


KLENZAN BECOMES CHRISTEYNS FOOD


HYGIENE Food hygiene specialist Klenzan is changing its name to Christeyns Food Hygiene to fully represent its new status as part of the Christeyns group.


The fact that we were up against manufacturers of state-of-the-art virtual reality solutions – and still won – goes to show that cleanliness and hygiene are considered to be of paramount importance in any visitor attraction.

Walker, who heads up marketing for the Bradford-based manufacturer and its group of companies that includes Alex Reid, Oscrete and Cole & Wilson, said the time was now right to rebrand, following the buy-out of Klenzan in early 2017.

Other Innovation Award finalists included manufacturers of ski machines, virtual reality booths and augmented reality attractions.


Anna continued: “The competition was fierce but we are gratified that the organisers realised that no attraction can run successfully if its washrooms are unhygienic or understocked.”
