News Sponsored by Reinventing the toilet brush

Robert Scott, the fourth-generation cleaning product manufacturer and distributor, has launched a revolutionary cleaning tool that promises to be more than a flash in the pan.

The Loowy offers a new, more hygienic way to clean toilets, replacing the traditional bristle brush with a clean and contemporary silicone waveform blade that’s antibacterial and water-repellent, delivering a spotless clean right up to the edge.

The silicone blade is designed to be swiped around the bowl, allowing the flexible blades to sweep across the surface and under the rim. Once finished, use one flush to allow the water to clear Loowy of any debris, then shake gently to remove excess water.

The silicone blade does not clog like a traditional brush and the water-repellent coating means there’s no dripping or excess water run-off. Loowy is ideal for washrooms where brushes aren’t left next to toilets as it can be easily moved around without unhygienic drips.

It’s also quick-drying and is extremely durable, lasting far longer than a conventional toilet brush – saving money and reducing plastic waste.

The Loowy set is available to order in quantities of four and comes with a two-year product guarantee. The Loowy is also available with the blade and holder in singles.

UK rebrand for Samsic

Brittany-based Samsic, which operates in more than 25 countries and has 93,000 staff, has completed a review of its UK operations with a rebrand.

With year-on-year turnover up by 28% to over £61m, Samsic UK employs over 3000 personnel to provide cleaning, security and related hard and soft services from 12 regional offices to over 1700 sites on behalf of 750 organisations.

London sites are serviced by premium brand provider, JPC by Samsic.

New year wins for Samsic UK – formerly Regent Samsic – include further sites for power management provider Eaton, Intel, Virgin Atlantic Retail and ride service operator Uber.

Recent contracts secured include sites for coatings maker PPG Industries, materials distributor St Gobain, motor retailers Macklin and Vertu, and Three Mobile.

A revised management team has been appointed under CEO Jonathan King. Kind said: “Rebranding reflects the truly joined-up approach to how Samsic presents itself, bringing value to the UK in terms of shared contracts and leveraging fresh opportunities for our business across Europe overall.

"The early adoption of innovatory solutions and processes has been key to the success of our business here and to the Group internationally, and will continue to be a principal driver in differentiating Samsic UK from other market providers."
