Puma appoints GM Sportswear business Puma has named Ben Hughes as its general manager for the UK, Ireland and Benelux. Hughes, who has been with the German owned company since 2008, succeeds Paul Spencer who moves to the position of regional sales director for Europe.


JLP names people executive director John Lewis has appointed Nikki Humphrey as its people executive director. Joining from Virgin Atlantic on October 1st, Humphrey replaces Tracy Killen who has retired after 38 years with the business.


Kingfisher confirms key appointments Kingfisher has appointed Sienne Veit as its group digital product & platform director. Tom Betts is also joining from the Financial Times to take up the role of chief data officer. They will report to chief customer and digital officer JJ van Oosten to form the team responsible for the creation of a digital first proposition across the Kingfisher group.


Deliveroo names CFO Deliveroo has appointed Adam Miller as its permanent CFO following a period in the role as interim. Additionally, Thea Rogers has been promoted to the role of chief customer officer, replacing Ines Ures who leaves the business in August.


CFO appointment at Cazoo Online car retailer Cazoo has appointed Stephen Morana as chief financial officer. Joining this week, Morana has floated two leading UK digital businesses in recent years, namely Betfair and Zoopla. Morana will report to CEO Alex Chesterman OBE.


TOFS promotes Briggs to MD role The Original Factory Shop (TOFS) has promoted its chief merchandising officer Phil Briggs to the role of managing director. He replaces Emma Fox. This move coincides with the appointment of non-executive director Matt Williams to the role of executive chairman. Alistair McGeorge has stepped down from the role of chairman after four years.


Rayner trio steps down from Lakeland board Lakeland was famously launched by the father of Sam, Martin and Julian Rayner who still retain ownership of the business but will step down from its board next month. Steve Knights will step up from his role as commercial director to become CEO replacing Catherine Nunn who becomes deputy chair. The board is completed with Paul Lewis as chief financial and operating officer, Scott Jefferson as chief commercial officer, and Neil Piggot as chief customer officer. Operations director Gary Marshall who has sixteen years service with the business departs at the end of this month.
