WSMA High School State Honors Music Project


Over 1,100 students registered for virtual auditions for the 2021 WSMA High School State Honors Music Project. Congratula- tions to students and teachers for their commitment to this project and musical excellence. Regardless of the decision made by the selection committee, WSMA wishes to thank all students, parents and music teachers for taking the initiative to prepare for these highly competitive auditions.


2021 Summer Camp Dates:


Saturday, June 19 – Tuesday, June 22 (Band, Mixed Choir and Jazz Ensemble)


Wednesday, June 23 – Saturday, June 26 (Orchestra and Treble Choir)


x WSMA Middle Level State Honors Project


Dedicated students from across the state are registered to sub- mit a video audition in April with aspirations to represent their school in this year’s Middle Level State Honors Band, Choir or Orchestra. Video auditions will be accepted April 1 through April 16 at 4:30 p.m. WSMA would like to extend a special thank you to all individuals who have agreed to assist with the evaluation of these video auditions. Results will be emailed to parents, students and teachers in late May.

Middle Level State Honors staff is tentatively scheduled to meet at the Wisconsin Center for Music Education in Waunakee on Wednesday, July 14 for their traditional summer workday. The workday provides an opportunity to review music, review staff duties and expectations, prepare student mailings, preview the student event schedule and network with fellow staff members.
