The HTST Skid complies with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Bioprocessing Equipment (BPE) standards, ensuring it meets strict guidelines for materials, design, fabrication, installation, and testing. ASME BPE outlines specific requirements for HTST skids and other bioprocess equipment, emphasising compliant materials, surface finish, and design features.
Key requirements for HTST skids as per ASME BPE include: using compatible materials, appropriate surface finish like electropolishing, minimising deadlegs, easy cleaning and sterilisation design, and testing for performance validation.
Suncombe’s HTST Skid now features the latest processing and control technology for efficient thermal processing with minimal energy consumption. The skid includes energy-efficient components like advanced heat exchangers and automated controls, along with an optimised process layout. New dyes and antibody markers for enhanced immunology research
Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc has announced the release of three new StarBright™ Red Dyes - StarBright Red 715, 775, and 815 - and the expansion of its StarBright Violet Dye series with 29 additional highly validated antibodies. With a total of 32 dyes now available, Bio-Rad’s StarBright Dyes offer enhanced options for conventional and full-spectrum flow cytometry in immunology research.
The StarBright Dyes, proprietary fluorescent nanoparticles conjugated to flow-validated antibodies, provide exceptional brightness with narrow excitation and emission profiles. The new StarBright Red Dyes are excitable by the 640 nm laser, offering brightness comparable to existing dyes while exhibiting minimal background and stability in fixatives.
Compatible with most experimental protocols and flow cytometers, including the Bio-Rad ZE5 Cell Analyser, StarBright Dyes ensure reproducible and consistent staining with minimal lot-to-lot variation. Additionally, these dyes resist photobleaching, maintaining signal integrity even after fixation.
The expanded range of antibody markers includes targets for human, mouse, dog, cow, and pig species, enhancing the versatility of StarBright Violet Dyes for a variety of research applications.
