Digital density measurement redefi ned
For over fi ve decades, digital density meters by Anton Paar with their well-known, proven U-tube technology, have been indispensable companions for quality control in many industries. Recently, a new invention called Pulsed Excitation Method made these laboratory instruments even more accurate and precise. Further benefi ts are improved viscosity correction and increased detection of fi lling errors such as bubbles that also work for density meters with a U-tube made from metal. The option to operate the density meters with a fi ne-tuned selection of sample fi lling devices for single or multiple samples allows enhancing the productivity, quality, and repeatability of measurement results. Popular with both producers and end users, the instruments gain acceptance in an impressively wide fi eld of applications.

Regulatory Aspects of Analytical Instrumentation in Focus at the analytica Anacon India Conference 2016
Gandikota (Biological Evans), Dr Ashes Ganguly (Indian Analytical Instruments Association), Professor Dr Myeong Hee Moon (Yonsei University), Professor Dr Michael Hilderbrand (University of Jena), Professor Dr Dietmar Knopp (Technical University of Munich), Professor Dr Rainer Lehmann (University of Tuebingen), Dr Eike Reich (CAMAG), Dr Pia Rosendahl (ISAS), Professor Dr Michael Rychlik (Technical University of Munich), Professor Oliver Schmitz (University of Duisburg-Essen), Arjan Timmerman (Waters Corporation) and Dr S. P. Vasireddi (Vimta Labs).
analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo 2016, the annual trade fairs for analysis, laboratory and biotechnology return to the city of Hyderabad. Accompanying the trade fair, the analytica Anacon India conference is held from 20 to 21 October, 2016, at the Hitex Exhibition Center. This year’s conference focuses on Analytical Instrumentation, Emerging Trends in Application, Techniques and Regulatory Compliance.
‘Regulatory aspects of Pharmaceutical Laboratories’, ‘Biopharmaceuticals and Bioanalysis’, ‘Food Safety’ or ‘Clinical Diagnosis’ are the main topics of the 2016 edition of the analytica Anacon India conference. The speakers, eminent scientists and industry representatives, come from both India and overseas. The program is rounded out by tutorials in all four sessions where practical application tips are passed on the audience.
Among this year’s speakers are (in alphabetical order): Dr Laxmikant
Bhupinder Singh, CEO of Messe München India, said: “The conference will bring together leaders of this fi eld to share a comprehensive overview of this rapidly expanding industry with the prime objective of knowledge transfer. Over 250 delegates will participate at the conference who will have the opportunity to interact with well-known scientists around the world. Participants can be sure of picking up important concepts, which will be very useful in the days to come.”
The organisers expect more than 350 exhibitors and 8,500 visitors to analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo. Both trade fairs have been growing in stature as one of the most infl uential events in the Indian Annual Trade Fair calendar. The two events bring together companies with similar product lines and business interests, apart from bringing the buyer and seller community on one common platform. The conference and various further forums will transmit additional momentum and background information on the various topics being deliberated at the trade fairs.
