CEM 26 EMISSIONS MONITORING
Automatic gas chromatography driven air monitoring technology to be highlighted at CEM 2023
Chromatotec Group, an industry leader in automatic gas chromatographs (autoGCs) for online monitoring and has been off ering a wide range of analysers for the detection of odourised molecules since 1975. With a remarkable level of experience of over 40 years, Chromatotec continues to deliver a comprehensive range of innovative analysers manufactured in France. These advanced instruments enable precise tracking of concentration levels in parts per trillion (ppt), parts per billion (ppb), parts per million (ppm) and percentages for various applications.
Chromatotec will be participating in the International Conference and Exhibition on Emissions monitoring (CEM) held in Barcelona from 20th to 22nd September 2023 . During the exhibition, Chromatotec will show one of its products portfolio, the MEDOR® analyser. This highly sophisticated instrument provides continuous, online analysis of sulphur compounds with the detection low to 1 ppb in natural and biogas. The system can analyse a variety of sulphur compounds, including H2
odorant. The system utilises proven gas chromatography (GC) technology that has been developed and improved over 35 years for odorisation and safety applications in various processes. Chromatotec’s systems have gained recognition worldwide from standards organisations such as ISO, ASTM, and CSA, attesting to their quality and performance.
The MEDOR® is available in various confi gurations to meet specifi c monitoring requirements. For process control applications, the H2 of H2
S, with a detection limit below 1 ppb and a cycle time as low as 2 minutes. Linearity calculations for traces and ultra-traces of compounds in the ppb concentration range can be performed using standard permeation tubes and successive dilution points. The energyMEDOR® is particularly well-suited for hydrodesulphurisation of natural gas, providing analysis of compounds such as THT, H2

The wide range of MEDOR® technology designed by Chromatotec provides customers with extensive possibilities for sulphur analysis, from process control to odorisation measurement. Chromatotec’s product range, including also Chroma S and airmoS analysers, can detect additional sulphur compounds such as carbonyl sulphide (COS) using a Flame Photometric Detector (FPD). From standard analysers to customised solutions to meet customers’ needs, Chromatotec is committed to delivering exclusive turnkey systems in the fi eld of gas analysis. More information online:

CEM to host display from globally renowned continuous mercury analysis specialists
Lumex Instruments has been developing and manufacturing laboratory and industrial analytical instrumentation for pollution monitoring for almost three decades and they will be showcasing some of their latest technology at the upcoming CEM Conference and Exhibition.
Their cutting-edge devices are used in over 90 diff erent countries for air monitoring, water and wastewater analysis and industrial measurements in a diversity of sectors ranging from agriculture, food and beverage quality and safety control, the energy industries, and pharmaceutical and biochemical applications. Lumex Instruments’ products off er over 120 applications for the measurement of organic and inorganic chemicals in liquids, solids and gases.
Harnessing both traditional and contemporary cutting-edge solutions to provide well-established reliable applications and innovative methods, Lumex has, so far, developed, manufactured and provided more than 30,000 instruments to customers across the globe. Lumex combines its high standards of product development with a fl exible customised approach to maximise the effi ciency of their customers’ operations. Their innovations are created to make the analyses cost-effi cient, precise and easy to run maintain and service with many of their applications developed in accordance with international standards, including ASTM, ISO, EN and EPA.

One of the highlights on the Lumex stand at CEM 2023 will be their mercury monitor RA-915AM, developed for continuous mercury monitoring and ideal for permanent unattended installation at air/gas monitoring stations. This device performs direct rapid analysis of mercury, facilitating prompt reaction when variations of mercury concentrations occur. These analysers need minimal maintenance or interaction from personnel, with servicing usually carried out onsite during maintenance shutdowns. In addition, the RA-915AM requires no reagents or consumables and only the fi lter and lamp will need occasional replacing during maintenance schedules; the unit’s remote data transfer enables operators to connect the monitor to data collection systems via RS232, Modbus, and analogue outputs.
Diff erent customised modifi cations exist for monitoring of ambient air, process gases or for natural gas (in the stream and monitoring the MRU units). More information online:
