32 GAS DETECTION

Autotest. The world’s only self-testing gas solution

Oxidant Gas Monitoring with OxiGuard

ATi UK’s OxiGuard is the latest gas detection solution in the industry- leading PharmaSafe range, offering an array of oxidant gas monitoring and unique features.

OxiGuard provides real-time data, along with visual and audible alarms to indicate when specific levels of gases have been reached. With a built-in traffic light style warning system, health and safety managers can be certain that the sensors work and that the environment is safe for staff to work in, allowing for reliable monitoring without expensive third party call-outs to test and verify gas sensors.

Measuring oxidants, including Hydrogen Peroxide, Ozone, Chlorine Dioxide, Dichlorine, Methyl, and Oxygen, the detector offers a pioneering self-check system to confirm the sensors are working effectively each and every day. This unique AutoTest feature provides reliable response checks to ensure system integrity, verified with a self-generated gas sample.

For many workers, the smell of gases have become part and parcel of their working environment, not knowing if the levels being inhaled for hours at a time is a major health concern for both employer and employee. However, OxiGuard’s versatility provides a gold standard gas detection system that is simple to install, operate and maintain, offering peace of mind.

The ATi UK gas detector range has transformed the gas monitoring industry, with the world’s only AutoTest feature.

AutoTest was developed with specific goals in mind, to make our range of gas detectors the safest in the world, providing peace of mind and complete protection for staff and stakeholders, revolutionising the way gas detectors of the future work.

The pioneering AutoTest feature is the only gold standard in gas detection available that checks itself daily with self-generated gas, allowing for safer and more confident monitoring. This unique feature is designed to detect and monitor potentially hazardous toxic and flammable gas leaks, to ensure the safest possible working environment. It provides an early warning alarm if a sensor fails to respond, allowing for timely remedial or protective actions to be undertaken.

Gas Detection

Conventional gas detection systems require costly manual ‘bump tests’ and annual service contracts, to ensure health and safety compliance. According to research carried out on behalf of ATi, these manual bump tests are only carried out on average 1.5 times a year. In contrast, ATi’s AutoTest checks itself daily.

The new generation F12/D & F12iS gas detector systems, part of the PharmaSafe range, are available from ATi with the AutoTest feature that automatically checks if it is functioning correctly, by exposing the sensor to a small amount of gas at specific intervals. ATi’s innovative safety system is the only detector on the market that provides daily automatic self-tests, far exceeding any current and potential health and safety regulations.

It is widely accepted that gas monitors need to be tested regularly to ensure staff safety and to prove efficacy. In addition, the F12 also employs smart sensor technology, meaning customers can take advantage of ATi’s ‘Service Reminder System’. Through this programme, customers can arrange for sensors to be returned to ATi for re- calibration and certification, removing the need for expensive service engineer call-outs and costly down time whilst waiting for replacement sensors.

ATi decontamination chamber created for children’s hospital

ATi UK are proud to join forces with a well- known children’s hospital to create a state of the art decontamination chamber, helping in the fight against COVID-19.

The children’s hospital has created the specialist chamber for the decontamination of medical equipment within its own hospital and other local NHS facilities. This pioneering H202 gas detection system makes full use of ATi’s innovative IsoMon system, part of ATi UK’s PharmaSafe range, with dual, fixed hydrogen peroxide F12/D monitors and high range and low range smart sensors. A fully automated sample switching arrangement uses the most appropriate sensor for the measurement.

In addition to the IsoMon system, ATi’s D16 PortaSens lll hand-held gas detector is also used to prove the efficacy and validate the decontamination process. The superior sensor used in the PortaSens lll is interchangeable between our fixed and portable devices. These systems use an industry-leading, pre-calibrated ‘vapour’ sensor that requires an annual replacement with no calibration, increasing its efficacy. The added capabilities of the IsoMon system also allows for protection against over- gassing and controls unauthorised access to the room. This versatile system also controls dosing times and venting, post decontamination.

ATi UK’s IsoMon dual-channel gas detection system has revolutionised the way sterilisation cycles are processed, monitoring the complete decontamination process from start to finish and measuring gas levels of both high and low concentration.

The two-channel detector measures both high and low gas concentrations in sterilised environments, proving that peroxide levels have reached a high enough level for sanitisation and is safe following sterilisation.
