SENSOR+TEST 2016 – Effi cient Community Stands for a Successful Trade-Fair Participation
The presence at a community stand of an internationally leading trade-fair is an attractive and effi cient way for small enterprises and startups with a limited budget of presenting ones products and developments to other professionals and the public. The SENSOR+TEST from the 10th to the 12th of May, 2016, offers numerous opportunities for such a participation regardless of budget or portfolio.
The topic of the SENSOR+TEST 2016 special forum is “Measuring in the Cloud” – with the focus on novel solutions and concepts for processing, analysing, transmitting, and protecting acquired measuring data in the World Wide Web. Community stands dedicated to specialised technological topics include “Vision Sensors and Systems”and in cooperation with VDI/VDE Innovation und Technik GmbH “Mikrotechnik”(Micro Technology).
After more than doubling its annual sales turnover in the last fi ve years, instrumentation specialist Impress Sensors & Systems Ltd (UK) has moved from its 4,000 sq.ft. facility in Aldermaston, Berkshire, to new 10,000 sq.ft. premises in Kingsclere, Berkshire.
The new, larger site is needed in order to increase both production capacity and offi ce space, as well as cater for new product lines that are now being developed ready for launch in 2016.
Mark Jamson, Managing Director at Impress Sensors & Systems comments: “Compared to fi ve years ago, we are selling more products through our global network of distribution partners such as RS, Farnell and DigiKey. In addition, we are manufacturing signifi cantly more products in-house compared to 2010. The ratio of in-house manufactured product to distribution is now 75:25 compared to 60:40 fi ve years ago. The number of employees has also increased by 30% over the same period.”
The move will also benefi t Impress’ customers. As well as providing additional capacity for R&D, design, production engineering, manufacturing and testing, the new premises will also provide an opportunity for the company to modernise its production processes and systems where necessary, in order to improve production throughput, product quality and deliveries.
Impress is an ISO 9001 accredited company, with more than 25 years’ experience in instrumentation design and manufacturing for a diverse range of applications. In addition to its standard range of pressure, level, distance and temperature instrumentation products, Impress offers a customised design service for customers that require non-standard instruments. These services are provided by a dedicated team of highly qualifi ed professional engineers with experience of electronics, software, mechanical engineering and instrument design.
