Air Monitoring Monitoring of H2S, NH3, Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene and Dimethylethylamine


A new integrative cryogenic air sampler (patent application number 08/00669), able to overcome many of the limitations in current volatile organic compounds and methodologies odour sampling available from Labaqua (Spain). The sample is spontaneously collected in a universal way at 15 mL/min, selectively dried (reaching up to 95% of moisture removal) and stored under cryogenic conditions. SONIMIX 4001 Primary Standard Ozone Generator


The open path FTIR Air Monitoring System from Midac (USA) is compact, versatile, and rugged. Designed to detect, identify and measure a wide range of key contaminants sim - ultaneously, it has been used in many different configurations to address a diverse list of applications. Analysis is onsite through a continuous sampling path of up to 1000 meters.


Whether the application is battlefield chemical warfare agent analysis, civilian hazardous event response, industrial stack and/or fenceline monitoring, rocket plume analysis, analysis or environmental research (such as volcanic gas analysis), the MIDAC AM System can provide continuous, unattached, near real-time detection at ppb to % levels for hundreds of chemicals.


Each system includes a rugged, sealed 0.5cm-1 resolution inter - ferometer equipped with a choice of beamsplitters and detectors. The analyzer is coupled to a control PC via standard ribbon cable or long range fiber optic link. For extended sample paths, the FTIR can be mounted to a rugged, 10” Newtonian telescope with tripod. A high energy infrared source module on the opposite end of the sample path completes the system. Weighing approximately 40lbs. and measuring just 8” x 14” x 8” (WxDxH), the compact interferometer module is easy to transport and can be powered by a 12V car battery for complete freedom of movement. An optional lightweight sheet metal version of the FTIR is also available with a compact 3” telescope.
