Custom Optical Systems for Harsh Environments
Resolve Optics (UK) design and manufacture optimised custom optical systems for hostile environments where radiation, extremes of temperature / pressure, high levels of vibration / shock or contact with corrosive liquids and gases would render standard products unusable.
For high-temperature environments - Resolve Optics Ltd. has developed optical systems that will operate up to 950°C without cooling.
For radioactive environments - Resolve Optics has developed custom lens systems and through wall endoscopes capable of withstanding radiation doses of up to 100,000,000 rads without degradation of performance.
For defence and aerospace applications - Resolve Optics has developed compact optical systems that uniquely combine high performance, resistance to ingress of dirt and moisture as well as maintaining their integrity despite being subject to constant vibration and shock.
Drawing upon a team of top optical designers and engineers - Resolve Optics has developed expertise in creating specialist lenses that not only can withstand harsh environments but also can offer greater resolution ; large apertures to ensure the maximum use of the light available ; wide fields of view with little or no distortion ; optical designs and coatings that are balanced to give best performance at a desired wavelength or waveband and compactness as space is often at a premium.

Fully Automated Analyser - Smartchem 200
Humidity and Temperature Transmitters for Demanding HVAC Applications
Designed by AMS/Alliance Instruments (France), Smartchem 200 is extremely easy to use and is based on control software combined with an automated system. After selecting the parameters, all you have to do is set the samples, reagents and a standard solution for each parameter.
The analyser can measure up to 200 tests per hour. The Smartchem 200 can also automate nitrate measurement with its unique system of cadmium reduction of nitrate to nitrite.
This module complies with standard NF EN ISO 13395 and the US EPA # 353.2 method. Operating under Windows™, the SmartStart™ software automates a wide range of tasks, archiving and exporting data as required. It is GLP compliant and compatible with your Laboratory Information Management System.

Easily Sample in Silt, Sand and Other Non-Cohesive Bottom Surfaces
Reliable humidity and temperature controls are essential in ensuring the high performance of many building automation applications.
To ensure accurate and stable measurement data, Vaisala (Finland) introduces two new humidity and temperature transmitters, designed for use in cleanrooms and demanding HVAC applications specifically.
The new Vaisala Humicap® Humidity and Temperature Transmitters
HMT120 and HMT130 complement Vaisala’s existing offering of relative humidity measurement instruments that covers all applications from ventilation to process control.
In addition to delivering accurate and reliable long term measurement data, the new transmitters are durable, easy-to-use and easy-to-install.
In addition, their smooth enclosure finish is resistant to dust and most chemical cleaning agents, which means that the transmitters are ideal for installation in critical environments with very high level of air quality requirements.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the transmitters can be either wall-mounted or used with a remote probe for installations inside air handling units, air ducts, and difficult to reach places.
Calibration and maintenance are made simple, quick and cost-effective by making the transmitters’ relative humidity probes fully interchangeable.
As a result, the probes can be replaced without having to remove and re-adjust the transmitter.

AMS (USA) bottom dredges are primarily designed for sampling sand and silt, but they can also be used to sample most types of non- cohesive materials.
They are lowered onto the sediment, and two-way spring-loaded mechanism – which also prevents accidental closure of the sampler during decent – triggers the closure of the dredge upon contact with the bottom.
Careful release of the sample will distribute the sediment approximately as it appeared on the bottom, making sediment profile description possible. AMS dredges are also constructed using stainless steel and powder-coated carbon steel for added corrosion resistance.

PPB Arsine in Olefins Calibration Standards
Kin-Tek (USA) Trace Source™ 57FPK Gas Fed Permeation Tubes are designed to produce stable ppb calibration standards of arsine and other hydride impurities in polymerisation grade ethylene and propylene. The tubes are used with a gas standards generating instrument which maintains the tube at constant temperature and flushes the tube with a constant flow of clean olefin matrix gas. A small steady flow of arsine permeate from the Trace Source™ tube mixes with the olefin matrix gas creating a flowing calibration standard. Calibration is based on the Standard Additions Principle to compensate for any residual arsine in the clean olefin matrix. Concentrations from below 10 ppb to over 500 ppb can be produced. These permeation tubes use arsine (or other hydride) gas as the arsine source. This technique reduces temperature sensitivity, reduces the quantity of arsine in the tube, and allows the technique to be used for higher pressure gases such as phosphine and silane. Conventional permeation tubes contain liquid analyte.
