A quick and simple yet highly accurate solution to total sulphur and total nitrogen analysis for fuel and petrochemical labs
The new NEXIS eQP, from EST-TSHR delivers precise analysis of either Total Sulphur or Total Nitrogen (TN) in liquid hydrocarbon, petroleum and gas/LPG samples. This versatile and highly user- friendly device needs only small samples to produce highly accurate analysis in less than 4 minutes.
The NEXIS eQP provides fuel and petrochemical quality control and production labs and terminals quick, easy and reliable Total Sulphur and/or Total Nitrogen analysis for their routine samples. This compact and precise instrument complies with
international standards such as ASTM D5453, D6667; it is the most compact Total Sulphur/Nitrogen analyser available on the market. In addition, maintenance is a hassle-free and simple procedure.
This cutting-edge analyser features automatic syringe sample introduction, high temperature oxidation via EST-TSHR’s unique NEX-Z combustion tube, followed by combustion gas conditioning before gaining access to the extremely sensitive and dependable sulphur or nitrogen detector.
The highly compact NEXIS eQP maximises lab bench space. It analyses a broad range of liquid hydrocarbon samples with liquid autosamplers capable of meeting both small and high sample throughput laboratory requirements and providing Total Nitrogen/ Total Sulphur sample data controlled and supported by EST- TSHR’s NEXIS LINK software.

analyser status, real-time monitoring of reagent levels, remaining test capacity, and the temperatures of the cuvette and sample trays. Moreover, various tasks can be carried out via this display, such as loading cuvette blocks and changing fi lters.
The analyser uses a comprehensive software package, DiscreteAccess, to run the analysis, collect data, and calculate, complying with all current laboratory requirements. A user- friendly interface enables users to start the analyser in a matter of seconds. Each analysis run can be set up batch-wise or randomly. The CLP and 21 CFR part 11 compliant software provides simple sample data entry or uploads from LIMS, with pre-defi ned application fi les for nitrite, nitrate, alkalinity etc. Customised application fi les can be integrated, and user-defi nable reports can be generated with results exported to txt, excel fi le or LIMS. The system also optimises the sample sequence, automatically prepares calibration standards and performs automated pre and post dilutions and smart range selection.

analysers provide low detection limits, an extremely high level of precision accuracies, and large sample capacity. The analyser also has a separate waste collection for environmentally harmful chemicals. This highly advanced analyser delivers total “walk-away” automation, including automated sample and reagent pipetting into the cuvettes, mixing, heating, blank correction, and photometric measurement. This discrete concept includes automatic re-analysis of samples from under or over-range concentrations. BLUVISION®

Discrete Discrete analysers are exceptionally user-friendly and require minimal maintenance. The
analysis methods conform to various international methods including NEN-ISO 15923-1, CMA/2/I/C.8, EPA, etc. The BLUVISION®
features 100 sample positions divided over fi ve racks of twenty samples each. Sample volumes can range from 3.5 to 10 ml. For reagents, stock standards, and QC, the analyser has 24 positions of 50 ml and 8 positions of 10 ml. The sample and reagent racks can be cooled during the analysis run.
The analyser is equipped with a cuvette tray with 160 test positions. The cuvette blocks are automatically loaded into the temperature-controlled tray via an autoloader system, which holds additional cuvette blocks. Thus, the cuvette tray can run 640 tests without any human intervention. The instrument uses a single needle, which can pre-heat the samples and reagents, to apportion them into the cuvettes. An extremely durable and high-precision pump pipette samples and reagents. The disposable cuvette blocks eliminate any carryover between analysis tests. Spent cuvette blocks are stored automatically in a waste bin for safe removal. The BLUVISION®

Grabner Instruments Introduces Premium Leak Detection Option for MINIVAP Online RVP Analyzer System, Enhancing Safety in Petroleum Vapor
Pressure Testing Grabner Instruments, a leading developer of automated petroleum testing equipment, announces the launch of its advanced MINIVAP Online RVP Leak Detection system, designed to elevate safety in fuel blending processes. This cutting-edge system automatically detects leaks and immediately shuts down the analyzer, disconnecting voltage from the enclosure to prevent ignition risks.
The MINIVAP Online RVP Leak Detection system also incorporates an additional safety measure: pneumatic valves that stop the fl ow of fuel and vapors to the enclosure upon leak detection. This dual-layer response isolates the system to prevent potentially hazardous conditions from escalating, ensuring a safer operating environment.
“The MINIVAP Online RVP Leak Detection System provides added safety measures to address one of the industry’s most critical challenges in fuel blending operations,” stated Todd Boaz, DVP, Business Manager at Grabner Instruments. “With fully automated responses, we’re minimizing risk and creating a more reliable solution for our customers.”
This latest innovation refl ects Grabner Instruments’ commitment to combining productivity with increased safety, setting new industry standards for automated leak detection and fuel blending.
