ATEX/ IECEx liquid level sensor – now available with Bureau Veritas Marine Type Approval
With several customers approaching them and an ever growing demand for safety at sea, Deeter Electronics, a designer and manufacturer of ATEX/ IECEx liquid level sensors for several years, have expanded their repertoire furthermore by adding Bureau Veritas Marine Type Approval to their F/S-FP Series level sensors.
Titan Enterprises have announced further integration of its fl owmeter products within the Flow Sensors, Switches and Indicators section of the RS Components international product catalogue. Through a new agreement RS Components are now additionally offering the Atrato ultrasonic fl owmeter, Process Atrato ultrasonic fl owmeter and Pulsite Solo fl ow indicator.

Major fl ow control contracts for Rotork at giant chinese refi nery
By pushing their boundaries even further, certifi cation was granted to allow the manufacture of these sensors up to six metres in length, and with up to 7 customisable switching points. With an operating temperature range of between -55°C and 190°C, and tolerating operating pressures of up to 31Bar, this abatable and versatile sensor ensures that your specifi c requirements can be met.
Manufactured in 316L stainless steel, this IP68 rated explosion proof level sensor is vertically installed and offers a range of custom mounting options. New explosion-proof fl ow computer combines safety with ease of use
Fluidwell recently launched the E126 explosion-proof fl ow computer for corrected gas and liquid volume measurement. It measures the actual fl ow, temperature and pressure and converts it with an ideal gas formula to gas volume at reference conditions. It saves time, money and hassle; is designed to withstand the toughest conditions and is simple to use. Daily operations and plant operations for running work permit procedures are no longer interrupted and even (partial) plant shutdowns can be avoided as the covers do not need to be opened to operate, set and modify the display functionalities thanks to the through-glass keypad. This unequalled fl ow computer delivers user-friendliness in the toughest conditions and is ATEX, IECEx, FM and CSA C-US certifi ed for an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F).
Rotork has received major contracts to supply electric and pneumatic valve actuators and valve gearboxes to Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Refi nery Co. Ltd for fl ow control in its new refi nery and petrochemicals complex, one of the largest in China, at Changxing Island in Dalian City.
The latest contract involves approximately 2,000 explosion- proof electric actuators to operate gate valves and ball valves in tank farms. All these units are Rotork IQ non-intrusive intelligent multi-turn actuators with double-sealed IP68 watertight protection for enhanced reliability, an important consideration in the site’s saline ambient environment. In addition to providing optimum reliability, the IQ actuator is also designed for advanced functionality, particularly in those areas associated with predictive maintenance and asset management.
IQ actuator dataloggers record detailed operating data including valve torque profi les, the number of valve operations and alarms. The ability to download and analyse this information can make a vital contribution to effective long-term asset management of the refi nery. The IQ actuators are combined with Rotork Gears IB multi-turn and IW quarter-turn secondary gearboxes to meet the operating demands of the wide range of valve sizes and types.
Pneumatic actuators orders encompass Rotork CP, GP and RC ranges of scotch yoke designs for quarter-turn valves. The combination of these ranges facilitates the direct-drive actuation of valves of virtually any size.
The ability to deliver complete electric and fl uid power solutions, with local manufacturing and service support in China, enables Rotork to provide a single source for fl ow control on the project.
