Analytical Instrumentation ADEM - Ideal for Quality Control, with Traceable Test Results

ADEM from GreenLab ltd is perfect instrument for ISO 6614 and ASTM D1401 method compliance with traceable test results via fully automated operation. It represents the next generation in ISO 6614 and ASTM D1401 method compliance for demulsibility/water separability testing . In terms of ISO 6614 and ASTM D1401 methods, the only competative instruments available on the market are either manual or semiautomated ones. In case of high sample throughput these instruments demand continuous attention of manpower.

ADEM features a unique design with pc control enabling fully automated operation and evaluation of measurement results. And it incorporates a state of the art image processing and evaluating algorithm.

ADEM is an ideal tool for Quality Control and R&D laboratories need to perform demulsibility tests of lubricants and turbine oils, compressor oils and engine oils, as well as synthetic fl uids used in hydraulic and mechanic systems.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

R&D Laboratories: development of demulsibility additives and/or optimising additive concentration (fi elds of interest are: luboils/lubricants/diesel fuels). Base oil investigation: check and control base oil characteristics due to emulsion forming tendency, Production Luboils/Lubricants: Quality Control of fi nal and intermediate products. Blending sites: high capacity blending plants are using demulsibility test as one of the key parameter of optimising compositions.

Auto Industry - Automotive lubricants: check the demulsibility feature of used motoroils in the function of running miles/kms – with reference of the fi rst fi ll (non- used lot)

Military Airports - Engine oils, Lubricants: are regulated to check continuously after given period of use in aircrafts (jets, helicopters).

Maritime - Marine fuels, marine lubricants: are exposed to mix with sea water. This special method built in the ADEM protocol, when salt-water and marine fuels/lubricants are mixed and water separability feature is observed.

Cosmetics - Base oil check: check and control base oil characteristics due to emulsion forming tendency. This is an important feature when considering creams, soaps and different cosmetic products – being in direct contact with water, body skin, etc. - Pharma, Food: in terms of cream, emulsion and similar products the above procedure is applied.

Olefins & Aromatics?

Speed up your asphalt/ bitumen analysis

The DMA™ 4200 M density meter from Anton Paar improves, accelerates, and simplifi es density measurements of bitumen/asphalt, crude oil, fuels, liquid petroleum gas (LPG) and other heavy petroleum products.

DMA™ 4200 M measures the density at temperatures up to 200°C and elevated pressures up to 500 bar. For asphalt/ bitumen measurements, The DMA™ 4200 M delivers results signifi cantly quicker than pycnometers or hydrometers. It also requires only small amounts of sample and cleaning solvent.

DMA™ 4200 M: The density meter for exceptional conditions

- 10 times faster asphalt/bitumen measurements than with pycnometers or hydrometers - Density measurements at up to 200°C and 500 bar - FillingCheck™ for bubblefree fi lling and compliance with ASTM D4052 and ASTM D5002 - New viscosity correction method for accuracy of up to 0.0002 g/cm³ - Temperfect™ feature allows immediate density measurements at any temperature between 0°C and 150°C at ambient pressure - Syringe heating accessory for easy fi lling - Gesture control for clean operation - LPG adapter for easy LPG fi lling.

The constant temperature control from the syringe to the inlet and outlet of DMA™ 4200 M ensures highly fl uid bitumen/ asphalt or residual fuel oil during the fi lling procedure. The rapid cleaning procedure will save you valuable time: Calculate one minute of cleaning and one minute for drying and you are ready for the next measurement.

DMA™ 4200 M applies the patented new Repeated Fade-out Method and provides endurance at high temperatures and pressures. The patented Repeated Fade-out Method delivers the most stable density results based on comprehensive knowledge of the oscillation characteristics. These and other unique features make DMA™ 4200 M a must-have tool for QC and research labs.

The SFC-4000 Series SFC-FID system has been developed as a simple and validated ‘turn-key’ solution for the measurement of two ASTM standard measurements that require chromatographic separation using SFC. ASTM-5186 applies to aromatics analysis, in diesel and aviation fuel and D-6550 applies to olefin content in gasoline. The SFC-FID system can also be used for any analysis that requires SFC for the separation of hydrocarbons such as oils, fuels and lubricants.
