38 Measurement and Testing Wireless Condition Monitoring Range of Process Gas Analysers
Systech Illinois (UK), gas analysis specialists, have for over 25 years manufactured online, portable and laboratory gas analysis equipment. As one of the leading experts in gas and moisture detection in the world, Systech’s application and technology knowledge provides efficient and innovative solutions to gas analysis in many industry sectors worldwide.
For the process industry, Systech offer
a wide range of gas analysis solutions including measurement of moisture, oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and many other gases. Providing measurements from trace ppm levels up to high percentage levels the process instruments are available in wall mounted IP66-rated, bench top and rack mounted versions. In addition, Systech manufacture intrinsically safe units for use in hazardous areas.
Systech Illinois provide oxygen analysers for a range of applications. Different technologies are available to suit every requirement. The EC900 electrochemical cell and ZR800 zirconia oxide ceramic offer accuracy, reliability and flexibility under the most demanding on-line operating conditions. The PM700 paramagnetic technology is ideal for oxygen purity measurement.
Systech Illinois moisture analysers offer precise and reliable moisture measurement in gases. MM500 analysers use phosphorus pentoxide and MM400 use aluminium oxide to measure from as low as 0.4 ppm, or in dewpoint °C or °F.
The 542 thermal conductivity multiple gas analyser is a versatile programmable analyser capable of measuring many combinations of gases. Ideal for measuring mixtures containing hydrogen or helium.
The EC91 (online transmitter) and EC92DIS (portable) are ATEX approved analysers for use in EEx ia IIc T4-Zone 0 areas. For ppm and percent oxygen measurement of gas streams in hazardous area installations

Wireless condition monitoring is a key factor in plant health and safety, however; battery powered monitoring devices require maintenance and put limitations on data collection. Essential
Insight.mesh ™ 1.1, the latest version of the Bently Nevada product line’s wireless condition monitoring solution, from GE Measurement & Control Solutions (USA) has external power flexibility eliminating the need for batteries and associated maintenance. The external power also allows for the selection of more frequent data collection, meeting a broader range of applications, and it is the world’s first electromagnetic vibration energy harvester powering a sensor mesh network. This offering along with flexible mounting options provides easier installation that best meets specific application deployment needs with more flexibility than previous solutions.
“The addition of Essential
Insight.mesh 1.1 is another example of how GE continues to invest in wireless technology and enhance our current solutions, “ said Sean Coyle, Bently Nevada Product Line Manager. “The addition of these features provides our customers with flexible options and alternatives to the traditional battery powered device.”
The Essential
Insight.mesh platform has Zone 0 hazardous area certification allowing deployment anywhere in the plant. In addition, each device supports 4-channels with up to 6 measurements per channel including acceleration enveloping, overall value, waveform, and spectrum. The solution enables early equipment failure mode detection and diagnosis for optimisation of outage planning, equipment usage and production and simplifies asset maintenance.

Nova Analytical Systems (USA) is pleased to introduce the Nova 7900P Series Multi-Gas Analysers which are capable of accurately measuring up to 5 gases simultaneously in process gas samples.
The customer may choose from O2, CO, CO2, CH4 and H2 in any combination and in any percentage.
The 7900 Series have a built in sampling pump, flowmeter, long life rechargeable battery and water intrusion protection. All gases are displayed together on large, easy to read LCD meters with switchable backlighting.
CO, CO2 and CH4 are all detected on a single, dual wavelength NDIR while H2 is detected on a thermalconductivity cell. O2 can be either from a long life electrochemical sensor or paramagnetic cell.
For use on wet gases, the 7900P can be fitted with a water separating filter with continuous drain. This allows long unattended operation. A pre-cooler is available. A built in printer and datalogger are also available.
