‘Community tree’ has deep roots


TENANTS in the south are branching out to discuss what’s most important to them. A ‘community tree’ on display in GHA’s Mosspark office lets tenants write down what’s on their mind. Tenants fill in the spaces on the tree with messages such as ‘Be kind to your neighbour’ or ‘phone your mum today’ or ‘I want to feel safe in my community’. As well as sparking a general


conversation, it helps staff make sure they’re listening to tenants.

for the area, said: “The ‘community tree’ gives us a better understanding of what matters to tenants. “It’s an informal way for people to say what’s on their mind and for us to make sure we listen.” The Mosspark art group – led by tenant
