YOUR LETTER
Dear the Key Could you help me get my back garden grass cut? I filled out an application form for the council maintenance programme but didn’t get a reply. I am over 70, and the grass is over a foot long. I’d be grateful for any help. John Sweeney, Crossbank Crescent Hi John. We’ve been in touch with the council for you. Because you’d recently moved house we helped you apply for their garden maintenance service. You’re now on their list, and your grass has been cut. Happy to help. Any more issues, let your housing officer know. Thanks.

Dear the Key I am very frustrated. I was promised new windows but they started a project in the area and my street was left out. My windows are terribly draughty and I use a lot of heating. I pay full rent and should get decent windows. I hope you can help me. Caroline Jacques , Drumoyne Road
Hello Caroline. Really sorry for the delay in getting this sorted for you. We’ve been round and carried out a temporary repair on your windows. We’ll be putting in brand new windows in your home before the end of the year.

Dear the Key I wrote a while back about two street lights outside Plantation Square not working. I still haven’t heard. Also, the grass area round my home is a mess. The area around the sheltered housing area is beautiful but not here.
Josephine Gillespie, Plantation Square Hello again Josephine. We’ve contacted the city council again on your behalf regarding the street lights. They told us they would get this fixed as soon as possible. We’ve also asked our environmental guys to tidy up the grass. Hope this helps.
Dear the Key Do you know if they are going to be building new houses in the Germiston area? All the houses in this area are 2 bedrooms and could really be doing with bigger houses for the people who want to stay in the area. Karen Patrick , Stroma Street Hi Karen. Thanks for letting us know your views. We’ve forwarded your letter to our regeneration team to take it into account when shaping their plans. GHA is looking at a site in the area you mention – just off Royston Road, in fact. It’s still a wee while away, but we hope to start work on homes for social rent there some time in the next three years.
The mix of housing in GHA developments depends on the demand in an area. In Glasgow now the demand is mostly for smaller homes. But we are building larger homes where there is a demand – around 20% of our developments on site are three-bed or above. Hope this helps Karen. Thanks
Dear the Key The flats at Crathie Court are having a hot water upgrade. I booked an inspector at the beginning of June and waited in between 8am and
