The magneto was a fiddly job, especially when you are doing a repair on the carpet of your living room! After a while of silent concentration, Daddy turned the cog and we had a spark! We took the magneto to a man named Jonny Haire so he could check it with his home-made magic magneto magnet booster. When we bought the gasket paper off Steve we intended to make our own gaskets. So, I will explain how we made them. Firstly, you measure the surface of the place you want to make a gasket for, then you sketch it on the gasket paper an inch or more bigger than it should be so you can trim it down to the correct size. You can always make it smaller but you can't make it bigger. When it's at the right size then it's ready to be punched. I

did this by hammering the gasket punch on top of the paper, leaving a nice neat hole. Fit it, check it, love it and hey presto – you have your own gasket set!
The next issue will be the reassembly story - yeah!!!
