Activity 7 Build a working scale model


1 As a team, work together to make a model of your chosen idea. 2 Use readily available material such as drinking straws, cardboard, string, plastic and modelling clay.


3 Remember your model should be built neatly, to scale and be the same type of construction shown in your working drawings.


4 You do not need to make a full size model, but it should be made to scale as were your drawings.

Communication skills Activity 8 Present your project


1 Once you have compiled your reports, budget, posters, working drawings and model, present your proposal to the Tender Board. All team members must participate in the presentation.


2 Each team member is responsible for presenting an aspect of the project.


During the presentation, the rest of the members of your class will evaluate your presentation.
