The 74th Annual Pasco County Fair opened with all eyes on them on February 15. The fair board worked long and hard to do everything right in order to get the proper per- mitting to open with COVID still in the shadows. The Pasco County Fair ended with record highs across the board in the Livestock Sales, Concessionaire Sales, Gate Totals, and Midway revenue. “It was one of the best years in a while “stated RJ Huss, Fair President. The 7 day fair featured top-notch entertainment all in-

cluded free with gate admission. New to the fair this year was, Brad Matchett, Agricadabra Show and his comedy hyp- notist show, and the Wagsters, Illusions show, and Victoria Circus, along with regulars Robinson's Racing Pigs and Tom Umiker's All About Ag. Priscilla the Dinosaur, Leon Jacob's, Jr., and the Groovy Guy rounded out the entertain- ment line-up. Tracy J. Thompson, stated “The crowds loved all the entertainment this year. All of the shows were big hits!” Concerts included Bluegrass by Little Roy & Lizzy and Gospel by The Down East Boys and Hyssongs. Friday night with rain and cooler weather the PRCA Rodeo was held in the arena and again on Saturday under blue

skies crowds filled the bleachers for the 2nd Rodeo performance. Jim Ward, V.P. Of the Fair Association., welcomed guests from fairs across the state, with some special visitors as well. Marla Calico, IAFE, and Gene Cassidy from the Big E. Clark Converse General Manager stated “We wondered if folks would come out and support the fair and the Livestock Sales, and support us they did. We couldn't be more proud of the support from the community. Traffic was backed up for miles on Saturday afternoon. It was a great year, everyone was happy.” The 75th Annual Pasco County Fair is already being planned for February 21-27, 2022.
