STUDENT PROFILES


Ruben Regin is a senior majoring in Manufacturing Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona. Currently seeking full-time experience in casting metals. He has competed in school casting/design competitions and completed an internship at a UPS automated facility. His goal is to lead projects that apply automation techniques in the workplace.


Colton Southwell is a senior at Pittsburg State University studying manufacturing engineering technology. He has always had an interest in computer aided modeling and casting design and plans on pursuing a career in the metal casting industry after graduation. He is a part of the 2021 Cast in Steel Thor’s Hammer Challenge, sponsored by the Steel Founders’ Society Foundation.


Shelby Bauer


is a senior studying Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University. He has completed an internship at Tech Cast LLC, learning about the processes involved with investment casting. He is searching for an summer internship in metal casting.


Serena Haddad is majoring in Manufacturing Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona, graduating in 2022. She is interested in Robotics, 3D Printing, Metal Casting, and manufacturing. Her main goal is to expand her knowledge of manufacturing through internships and co-ops.


Pierce Bringer


is a senior studying Manufacturing Engineering at Pittsburg State University. He is active in AFS and FEF Student Organizations. Bringer spent 7 months in Australia working an internship with AW Bell. He is interested in working in the metal casting industry when he graduates with his bachelors of science in 2021.

Austin Jacks


is a junior studying Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Pittsburg State University. He has a large interest in the process of metal casting and is currently searching for a summer internship in the field. He is looking forward to a future in this industry and is really thankful for the start Pittsburg has given him.
