Families Learning Together has a fall intake running from Oct.6 to Dec. 10 from 8:30 a.m.- 12 p.m.Tuesday/Wednesday/ Thursdays in Taber and Oct. 13 to Dec. 17 Tuesday/Wednesdays/Thursdays in Vauxhall with the cost being $40. As far as Family Literacy,TDCALA is partnered with Family Centre


Lethbridge, Barons-Eureka-Warner and Family Community Support Services to offer programs for families to expand their literacy skills. Those looking for GED help,TDCALA has a prep exam class running Sept.


20 to Dec.15 and a GED prep class Oct. 26 to Dec. 7. Anyone new to Canada in the last 10 years,TDCALA offers Learner Support Services which provides settlement services and assistance to those new to the Taber area. Vibrant Learning is making a return running from September-December. Work Foundations is an 18 week, full-time basic skills program that helps with learning to read,write,numeracy and digital skills for employment. Lastly,TDCALA will be offering the Youth Employment Program later in


the year which provides 15-30-year-olds who are facing employment chal- lenges with an opportunity to participate in a 15-week skills development and work experience program in Taber. “Our Vibrant Learning catalogue went in the mail in late August.Our core classes will still be running. Our staff has worked hard in creating a safe learning environment.We will continue to provide in-person training. Our Youth Employment Program continues to assist barriered youth and those seeking employment.We will also offer a number of English classes from basic to intermediate.We are partnering with Lethbridge Public Library to offer Computer Basics,Writing Basics and Creative Conversations,”added

The good news though is they are well prepared to overcome any obsta- cle that has been presented due to the ongoing pandemic. “(We are) preparing to protect staff and students by installing plexiglass, sign-in lists, masks and hand sanitizer before and after the close of classes.
