bought Woodcock Freight out of Administration (another family-owned company that was over 100 years old at the time). Since then Davies Turner Rotherham have provided International freight solutions to its clients in South Yorkshire for over 20 years, offering services for all modes of transport from an envelope to a factory move. The recent Covid-19 outbreak and lockdown provided
extra challenges and as keyworkers the company has assisted many businesses and institutions moving medical, food and other essentials items throughout the region and at the same time playing a key part in keeping the manufacturing sector moving. Davies Turner is used to difficult times as throughout its history, having survived

two World Wars and the Great Depression. Its flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing situations has always enabled the company to overcome these periods of upheaval and prosper. The company has always been at the forefront of
innovation throughout its many years and that has been the driving force behind its expansion from TIR (Customs sealed) trailer services to continental Europe and using the first ISO containers for groupage services by Ocean freight and now up to date with state of the art warehouse throughout the UK to assist in logistic operations. In 2008, Davies Turner became one of the first freight
forwarders within the UK to achieve and retain AEO accreditation from HMRC. This accreditation recognises the company’s enhanced customs compliance capability and trade facilitation strengths combined with security in the supply chain. The latest in a long list of achievements and industry awards, this shows once again how Davies Turner continues to push and innovate.
