Doncaster Business Awards – an update on plans in recognition of the impact of Covid-19

Doncaster Chamber has taken the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Doncaster Business Awards, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. It is a uniquely challenging time across the Chamber Network and we are committed to supporting businesses as we start to recover from the impact of Covid-19. We feel it is vital to recognise past successes in order to help re-build the future, so with this in

mind we are postponing the Doncaster Business Awards until March 2021. Doncaster Chamber CEO Dan Fell said: “The sacrifices and contributions made by businesses

in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and economic crisis have been truly humbling. I constantly seek to remind people that business communities are a true force for good and deeply committed to the people and communities where they are based. Never has that been more apparent and it is hugely important that the innovation, tenacity and generosity demonstrated by Doncaster’s business community during this troubling time is aptly celebrated. “The Chamber’s Business Awards are one of the landmark events in the region’s business calendar. Necessarily, we are having to reschedule the event to March instead of December in light of Covid-19. However, we firmly believe that there is more to celebrate this year than ever. We want to honour the Business Heroes that have kept business moving and supported the Covid-19 effort. We also want to celebrate our borough and our health partners that have done so much on the frontline to support communities in their hour of need. As such, we promise that the March 2021 Doncaster Business Awards will be our most special awards yet and we look forward to seeing you there.” Application for the awards will open in September, with tickets going on sale later in the year.

In response to the devastating Covid-19 pandemic, ClickView, the world’s leading producer of educational videos, has taken action. Covid-19 has significantly impacted schools and education around the world. Teachers are responding to their evolving roles,

while families navigate homeschooling challenges, balancing work and other commitments. Already trusted by over 4,000 schools, ClickView can help maintain access to quality education and keep the learning momentum going. To support Doncaster’s schools and families,
