ELIZABETH REED Our friend Craig Stevens accidently
bumped into Elizabeth Reed online. Turns out she was actually named after the Allman Broth- ers song, and to top that off, her grandfather was a friend of Gregg and Duane. Cool, huh? I wrote to Liz and here is her response.
“It’s nice to ‘meet’ you Michael! I just perused the KUDZOO website and I’m blown away. What an awesome outlet you’ve created for mu- sicians and fans alike! I actually gave one of your books to my grandfather as a gift! What a small world. I was actually ‘accidentally’ given the full name of the song, if that makes any sense. I was named Elizabeth after the song title of course; but I didn’t get the last name Reed until I was six and was adopted by my father. I love to say that God is into details, and making sure that my love of music was solidified in even my name is just another piece of supporting evi- dence to that for me. Music is more than just music to me and my family – it’s life. Music gives voice to those things inside of us which can’t be expressed with words.
