I've done more playing, practicing on electric unplugged. It could be an electric guitar or acoustic, hotel rooms, late at night at home, what- ever, so I learned how to get the sound, sustain, percussion that I want unplugged so when I plug into an amp it really takes off.

In 2017 the tragic loss of Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks marked the end of an era. How did you deal with this great loss? Very sad. I loved them so much. I'm a Christian, so my faith carries me through the hard times.

A problem that concerns many gui- tarists, even Eric Clapton is "tinnitus." I know that it has brought you signifi- cant decisions for your career: How did you deal with this problem? Do you have any advice to give to other gui- tarists and musicians? I've had ringing in my ears since the early 1990's. It is very difficult. I've had many sets of custom earplugs made but they don't seal well when I sing. I wear the highest db rated foam plugs I can find to help save the hearing that I have left.

Jack, in addition to being an amazing guitarist, you also have a great voice. Who inspired you the most? Oh, thank you. I love singing. I grew up lis- tening to the greats. I tried to learn from them all. Gregg Allman, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Bonnie Bramlett, Jimmy Hall, Bekka Bramlett. I always loved Mahalia Jackson, the 3 kings Albert, Freddie, BB.

Are there new record productions on the horizon and is there the possibility of hearing you play live in Italy? I have several CDs worth of recordings I hope

Jack and Dickey Betts

to release in the future, I'm always recording and writings. We just added new videos to my instructional website. www.jackpearsongui- tar.com

Finally, what are the five albums you would bring to a desert island? Only five? (Laughs) Anything by Django, Charlie Parker, Wes Montgomery, ABB, Oscar Peterson.

Obe final question. How do you feel will music change after the corona virus pandemic, will it have a different impact on people, and how are you ex- periencing this period? I haven't had a gig since Jan. All of the clubs to play are shut down here and don't know for how long. I haven't been anywhere in a couple of weeks and will only go out to get supplies. I'm going to do Skype lessons to pay bills. So, if anyone is interested I will be putting a link on my website soon. www.jackpearson.com•
