That’s a pretty treasured possession. I have a photo of Dickey and I sitting on his couch as he teaches me the intro to “Blue Sky.” That’s another treasured possession. A friend of mine gave me an incredible shot of Duane playing a Dobro that I’ve never seen else- where, and that also hangs on my wall. But I really don’t have a lot of memora-

bilia. Just a lot of memories.

In recent years, several films on the lives of rock stars have been released, the next release will be the one about the history of Lynyrd Skynyrd, is there any chance that Midnight Ridersmight turn into a movie? There’s a two-part British documentary about the Allman Brothers: Song of the South and After the Crash. I’m featured in both parts,

and thought they did a really nice job. There’s some interest in turning Midnight Riders into a feature film. If it happens, that’d be great. But it’s very early in the process.

Which five records would you take with you to a desert island? Miles Davis: Kind of Blue The Allman Brothers Band: At Fillmore East The Band: The Last Waltz Robert Johnson: The Centennial Collection Emmylou Harris: Spyboy

(I’d also somehow smuggle these in) Bruce Springsteen: Live in Passaic, NJ 1978 Lynyrd Skynyrd: One More From The Road Elvis Presley: The Complete 1968 TV Special The Rolling Stones: Get Your Ya-Yas Out (Deluxe Edition)
