Museum is truly a shrine for all of us die-hard Allman Brothers fans. Not only was the Macon structure home to the band and crew, it also houses the single largest collection of ABB memorabilia in the world. Every room on every floor is filled wall to wall, floor to ceiling with artifacts- instruments used by the band, clothing worn, concert posters, hand written lyrics, tickets, cancelled checks, con- tracts and amazing art work. Now at long last the museum has been honored with a massive coffee table book, a labor of love like no other. It’s 224 pages filled with glossy, high resolu- tion photos and in depth descriptions of each item.
The book is divided into five chapters,
“Instruments,” “Clothing,” “Posters,” “As- sorted Items,” and “Paper,” offering a sample of the treasures to be found inside the mu- seum. There are also commentaries preceding each chapter from John Lynskey, Linda Oak- ley-Miller, Galadrielle Allman, Kirk West, and Kirsten West, plus a final word from Museum Director Richard Brent. There are no words that can aptly de-
scribe just how beautiful this book is. Suffice it to say, it is well worth the $60 price tag,
