It is very easy to use, and like Teams, when installed on your computer, will appear as a button on the ribbon in Outlook to allow you to set up appointments from there. Google also provides a very

good suite of software that does what you need it to do, it’s just that the market has gone with Microsoft

Of course, it makes no sense to

invest in hardware and software yet just roll it out without support. A training plan is needed providing a mix of classroom training, 1-1 short sessions, floor walking to check people are OK and a help line or “surgery” sessions. The actual mix will depend on the users

knowledge, choice of software, and what people need to know. You need to decide what is the right mix to enable your workforce to be quicker and more confident. In times of hardship, training is

usually one of the first things to be cut. Yet regular training for staff will not only keep up their skills,

but also allow them to become more efficient and more productive at their roles. Frequently whilst delivering a course the trainer hears “if only I’d known this years ago” or “this way would’ve saved me so much time every week”. This is very rewarding for the trainer – who in their first 30 minutes of the class, will have assessed the level of every participant and be on the way to teaching shortcuts and new and more efficient ways of working. Please don’t disregard the importance of training.
