just in the quality of everything we do with our horses.” Mark Rashid
Happy 50th Ontario Trail
Riders Association OTRA’s AGM was held February29, 2020, at
Erin United Church. Perfect driving conditions prevailed allowing for a good turnout of members and guests. A few important items were discussed and
new rides were announced. Linda Fell and Sandra Kendall offered to run the Fun d ride taking place July 3-6, 2020. The smorgasbord of food prepared by Elaine Wiesner was outstanding. Thank you Elaine, “you are the best”! We welcomed Laura Sliter, a Certified
Equi-Health Canada instructor and equine mas- sage therapist. She explained the courses she of- fers that are specifically made for trail riders. Basic first aid for horses up to how to handle the most serious injuries. Jack de Wit, CRHRA president was also in
attendance. Jack was able to answer a few ques- tions with regards to insurance coverage. Overall a very good meeting. A positive
start to 2020 for the Ontario Trail Riders Asso- ciation.

“ I was drawn to horses as if they were magnets. It was in my blood. I must have inherited...a ge- netic proclivity toward the equine species. Per- haps...a quirk in the
DNA...makes horse people different from everyone
else...instantly divides hu- manity into those who love horses and the others, who simply don’t know.” - Allan J. Hamilton
