Ingo Bitzer is the new Managing Director of the MAT Transmission Division and CEO of MAT Europe
The long-standing CEO of the
BLANK corporate group has taken on the role of Managing Director of the international MAT group. At the turn of the year 2020, the
MAT Transmission Division – a business unit of the British corporate group MAT Foundry Group Ltd. – carried out an internal change of management and, with Ingo Bitzer, it has gained an experienced manager in the automotive supplier industry.
About the MAT Business Group Based in Poole (Great Britain), MAT Foundry Group Ltd. is a subsidiary of MAT Holdings Inc., which, with its head office in Long Grove (Illinois/USA), generates an annual global turnover of around 2 billion US dollars and has a workforce of over 16,000 employees. Worldwide, MAT Foundry Group
Ltd. has 7 foundries and 11 machining sites and generates an annual turnover of over 500 million EUR, making it one of the leading manufacturers of products for the automotive industry. With the commitment of the workforce of approximately 3,000 employees, 360,000 tonnes of steel (grey and ductile cast iron) are produced, machined and delivered to leading OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in the industry. The MAT Transmission Division, of
which Ingo Bitzer became Managing Director from January 2020, is a business unit of the MAT Foundry Group Ltd. and it unites the Germany-based companies MAT Foundries Europe GmbH in Neunkirchen (Saarland), MAT Machining Europe GmbH in Immenhausen (Hessen), Präzisionstechnik Resources Altenburg GmbH in Altenburg (Thuringia), Schmidt Automotive GmbH with sites in Westhausen- Lippach (Baden-Württemberg) and Eberswalde (Brandenburg) as well as the American machining location in Auburn (Alabama). After completing his studies in Mechanical Engineering as a graduate engineer, he commenced his career, passing through numerous professional stations in the industry with international responsibility in various positions including in India, Portugal and Japan. Ingo

development has been marked and characterised by technological advances, digitalisation and active co-development and optimisation of company processes.
