Eagle Engineered Solutions, Global Leader in 3D Printing, Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

espite the fact that Eagle Engineered Solutions calls themselves
the “Quiet
Company,” they certainly have reason to make some noise. Celebrating their 10 year anniversary this month, Eagle has grown from a garage shop start-up, to a global leader in investment casting 3D printing and true additive manufacturing (3DP/AM) products and services.
Company History Bill Buckley and Mike Hascher started Eagle in 2008 with an idea on how best to meet the needs of the IC industry for 3D printed ceramic cores. Hascher’s IC and 3DP experience together with Buckley’s years of ceramic engineering experience married well, establishing ceramic component manufacturing processes with leading edge, 3D printing (forming) technologies to solve long lead time and high tooling cost challenges

for ceramic core manufacturing. “With Eagle DPC Cored Patterns an OEM turbine engine design team can iterate 3 or 4 cooling schemes at the same time and choose the one that is the very best well in advance of chips flying at the tool shop”, stated Mike Hascher. While Hascher and Buckley knew they were on to something from the start, it took about five years of development before things really started accelerating from a business development perspective. In the last five years, Eagle has tripled their revenue, won the Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) Technical Competition for Advanced Applications, been awarded an AMUG DINO (Distinguished INovator Operator) and expanded their physical footprint to 15,000 SF. Eagle is 100% vertically integrated
when it comes to developing and manufacturing their Direct Print Ceramic (DPC) Cores. “We’ve been able to add
