Most of the paste waxes behave
differently than liquid waxes in die filling and at times, need multiple iterations to optimize the gating and vents locations and size to make quality wax patterns, which now can be eliminated by conducting wax injection simulation. Simulation eliminates re- tooling cost and time associated with every iteration. Figure 3 shows an example of wax injection flow pattern simulation correlated with partial shots of a paste wax.
