Barco extends its UniSee LCD video wall series
Barco has introduced a new member in its UniSee LCD vid- eo wall range. The Barco Uni- See 500 has a brightness level of 500 cd/m and brings all the advantages of the original Bar- co UniSee platform, plus some new features, to environments with controlled and reduced ambient lighting conditions. This includes meeting rooms, television studios, simulation systems and smaller control rooms. In this way, end-users can benefit from the unique Barco UniSee features and get even more value for their mon- ey.
The launch of the award-win- ning Barco UniSee platform meant a landmark for LCD vid- eo walls. Offering the world’s smallest optical seam, and almost eliminating the ‘black raster’ that traditionally inter- rupts the content shown on LCD video walls. Barco Uni- See significantly reduces the impact on the viewing experi- ence and avoids information loss. Furthermore, because the platform has been completely redesigned, it is also a huge step forward in terms of image quality,
installation precision,
serviceability and reliability. The new Barco UniSee 500 answers the market demand for an LCD video wall that ex- cels in image quality, reliability and serviceability at a reduced brightness level and cost. This

says Pietro Capretta, Product Manager LCD at Barco. “By offering
500,
we are now also optimally ad- dressing the requirements of environments with controlled ambient
lighting. This new
solution complements our ex- isting Barco UniSee video wall at 800 cd/m² that remains the recommended proposition for bright environments, for appli- cations where viewers need to be attracted and/or impressed, but also in the case of large video walls that run 24/7 (as users
benefit lifetime).”
All the other components and benefits of the original Bar- co UniSee platform are avail- able in the new Barco UniSee 500. This includes the Uni- See Mount that automatically aligns the video wall and keeps it aligned over time (using the power of gravity), provides the best image uniformity in the market, and uses the Sense X automatic colour and bright- ness calibration. What’s more, Barco UniSee 500 also includes some new features. Set-up and mainte- nance can now be performed faster and more easily using the upgraded UniSee Connect module. A wizard guides the user through the complete in- stallation process and the indi- vidual panels are automatically

Hub2 Floor Stand from Vision
Vision now offers a version of its VFM-F10 floor stand for Microsoft Surface Hub2. The VFM-F10/HB ships from late January and replaces the VESA mount with a “halo” for fixing the Hub2. Integrators can add an optional bracket which fixes APC’s battery under the rear shelf (shipping late Q1). Vision used a design agency to create a form inspired by fine modern furniture, avoiding the normal heavy AV furniture aesthetic, which Vision thinks detracts from Hub2. Vision say it is delicate and has a sense of movement that complements Hub.
Vision chose to make the F10 more upright at 7° - compared to Microsoft’s 12° pitch - to ensure the Hub2 camera is centred on the audience and to re- duce reflection. Users who are seated using Hub2 for video con- ferencing can tilt the display to upright. The

announced the
HDL200 audio conferencing system, the newest addition to the company’s line of advanced audio solutions. Beautifully crafted and specifically de- signed for the needs of meeting spaces up to 18' x 18' (5.5 x 5.5 m), the HDL200 system delivers the same consistent and reliable audio pickup that Nureva’s award-winning HDL300 systems deliver for larger spaces.

can be used in indoor environ- ments that are mainly lit by ar- tificial light, like office environ- ments. For ergonomic reasons, the brightness levels of such video walls rarely exceed 400 cd/m² and don’t require the brightness levels of the original Barco UniSee solution. “End-users should be able to choose the right proposition, which is a combination of fea-
recognized at the right position in the video wall. The new lo- cal dimming feature allows for higher contrast, lower radiated heat and reduced power con- sumption.
The HDL200 is powered by patented Microphone Mist technology, which fills the en- tire meeting space with thou- sands of virtual microphones so that everybody is heard no matter how softly they talk, where they move in the space or the direction they face. Un- like beamforming and tabletop omnidirectional microphones, there are no dead zones where it is difficult to be heard. The HDL200 is 46.4" W x 4.8" H (1.18 x 0.12 m) with 10 front-facing microphones to of- fer maximum installation flexi- bility. It can be mounted above or below a display, on the wall (mounting bracket included) or on a mobile stand. Support-

ing third-party meeting room peripherals was also a design consideration, with the option of a cleverly designed optional magnetic camera mount and a display mount.
The solution also has an in- tegrated full-colour display that is perfectly sized for small rooms to give in-room partici- pants helpful information such as time, volume and mute on/ off. Further enhancements are envisioned through future in- tegrations with other products such as room control, building information management and room booking systems. “Our customers are receiv- ing tremendous value from the HDL300 systems and have been asking when we will have a similar solution for their smaller rooms,” said Nancy Knowlton, Nureva’s CEO. “With the intro- duction of the HDL200 system and Nureva Console, we are ex- cited to offer them a full line of systems and management tools to support their desire for stan- dardization and simplicity.”

Commenting on the launch, Simon Carp, product man- agement manager, said “This solution marks an important step forward, offering organisa- tions the opportunity to identify and resolve the real and often hidden causes of inefficient workspace and resource man- agement. The beauty of the solution lies in its ability to help assess and re-assess the changing needs of even the most fast-moving businesses. ONELAN workspace man- agement with Reserva
ONELAN is set to optimise workspace and resource man- agement with the launch of its Reserva Analytics and Re- porting solution. This brows- er-based graphical dashboard provides historical data over pre-defined or custom date ranges, enabling organisations to base their long-term strate- gic decisions on proven quan- titative data with information available for all rooms, a sin- gle room or a custom group of rooms.
