MiniLED fixed installation and rental Absen Hall 12 Booth C50 / C80

Absen will occupy an impressive 324 sqm of floor space, repre- senting the company’s largest ever presence at the show. Spread across two neighbouring stands, these will respectively be dedi- cated to fixed installation (12-C50) and rental solutions (12-E80), though the theme of ‘Evolution. On Display’ and focus on MiniLED will remain consistent across both sections. Absen’s MiniLED are ultra-fine pixel pitch LED panels, incor- porating 4-in-1 pixel configuration (IMD) and common cathode technology. These boast superior visual performance, flatness and contrast, and makes them 2.5 x stronger than standard SMD LED – not to mention 20% more energy efficiency.

Demand for Absen MiniLED products has been very high since the launch of the CR series in 2018, and intensified significantly with last year’s launch of the Aries (AX) series, the market-leading sub-2 mm MiniLED rental display, designed to meet the rigorous demands of the rental staging market.

The popularity of MiniLED has further increased with exceptional demand from the corporate/retail market in applications such as corporate lobbies, event spaces, car showrooms and retail stores. Absen MiniLED now comes as standard in four core product lines: the Aries (AX), Acclaim (A27 Pro) and Control Room (CR) series, as well as the newly launched HC series for mission-critical envi- ronments.

Absen will also launch a new product for the Digital Out-Of-Home (DooH) advertising market. The AW series is Absen’s new outdoor fine pitch LED for light box displays, bus shelters and other types of urban street furniture. The 5,000 nit AW series will also act as a “smart” pole display to cater for the growing trend of LED display and 5G technology integration, which is sure to usher in a new wave of intelligent applications.

Designed with the technician in mind, the Crimson Series is built-tough and is easy to ship, handle and install thanks to its compact form factor, quiet operation and omnidirectional capa- bilities. Featuring an IP5X sealed, solid-state laser light source, Crimson projectors provide years of reliable, low-cost, and virtu- ally maintenance-free operation while delivering vibrant, lifelike colours in theme parks, indoor and outdoor arenas and stadiums, entertainment venues, mega events, public spaces, and more. “The new Crimson models – which are both upgradeable to 120Hz – support both Christie Guardian for real-time automatic blended-image correction when content is playing, and the Chris- tie Terra input card for seamless integration into SDVoE networks,” said Mike Garrido, senior product manager, Christie. Both new models are shipping now with a three-year part and labour warran- ty backed by Christie’s renowned customer service and support.

virtual collaboration, as well as experiencing an interactive VR ride. Digital Projection is set to demonstrate two of its MultiView VR systems, which are based around the company’s INSIGHT 4K HFR 360 projectors. With Multi-View 3D projection, a single projector, with ultra-fast frame rates can accommodate multiple viewers, each being tracked and each having a view of the image that remains appropriate to their changing position. This allows the users to see and interact with each other in a truly shared collaborative manner. Previously, the ultra-fast frame rates required for a multi-viewer 3D system have meant sacrificing resolution - and therefore image fidel- ity. Digital Projection was not willing to accept such a compromise. The INSIGHT 4K HFR 360 offers both native 4K and high frame rate - thanks to the thousands of hours invested by Digital Projec- tion’s team of experts and their unsurpassed experience in 3-chip DLP projection.

One MultiView system will enable attendees to walk around and manipulate a virtual object in a number of ways, while the other will demonstrate how the technology can be used in the visitor attraction space by allowing people to virtually explore ancient artefacts and buildings. Finally, digital Projection E-Vision Laser projectors will provide the visuals as part of an interactive VR theme park ride. This attraction is designed and run by Lightspeed Design - and makes use of DepthQ technology - to plunge users into an immersive aquatic environment. The E-Vision projectors will be teamed with a VIOSO Panadome screen and will can be seen at Stand B120 in Hall 14.

The QUAD series 4-in-1 SMD pixel allows for a smoother screen surface, wide viewing angle and more robust design. Boasting a high brightness of 600 nits, the QUAD series is suitable for any indoor retail or corporate application. Thanks to an ECO friendly <0.5W standby mode that conforms with ErP regulations, power consumption is reduced, which saves on energy costs. Other key demonstrations on the Optoma stand this year include: FHDQ130 and QUADShow - complete custom solution for the in- door rental market. Optoma will demonstrate the QUADShow, an all-in-one motorised lift and transport system for mobile use of the award-winning Optoma FHDQ130 – 130” Full HD 1080p LED display with a 1.5mm pixel pitch. The QUADShow ensures complete protection of the FHDQ130 within the easily movable flight case, which fits through standard sized doorways. Its plug and play design means it can be ready for any event in just minutes. The built-in display stand features height adjustment, and the FHDQ130 can be positioned in land- scape or portrait mode.

Digital Projection first EMEA showing of Satellite MLS

Digital Projection Hall 1 Booth F90

Digital Projection will return to the RAI to give the first public EMEA showing of its revolutionary Satellite Modular Laser System (MLS). Last year’s ISE saw Digital Projection give selected part- ners a sneak-preview of the Satellite MLS concept and, 12 months later, the company is back to show the world a product that is primed to fly off the shelves.

As promised, the Satellite MLS will make its full EMEA debut at this year’s ISE. This ingenious new technology offers a small num- ber of simple building blocks that allows users to address a wide range of applications, from single projector installs to complex, multi-channel domes, caves and simulators.

The cornerstone of the system is the separation of the light source, with its associated power and thermal management, to a remote location, which enables a small, compact projection ‘Head’ that only contains the minimal optical and video processing. The projector ‘Head’ is fundamentally compact, quiet, light- weight and consumes very little power. This offers huge benefits at every stage of a system design, from transportation and instal- lation to serviceability and lifespan. By separating the projection Head from the light source and linking the two by robust and flex- ible fibre-optic cables up to 100m long, Digital Projection’s lat- est innovation offers the installer many more options, particularly where space and access are restricted.

Where RGB laser illumination used to be the preserve of only very high-end applications, the Digital Projection Satellite MLS system will make this technology accessible to the wider AV market, at a cost-effective price point. The Satellite MLS will be developed around WUXGA, Native 4K and 8K resolutions and will also incor- porate Digital Projection’s industry leading ‘MultiView’ technology. Given the modular design of the system, there can be a one-to- many, or many-to-one relationship between the light sources and the projection Heads. In addition to the many logistical, installa- tion and performance benefits of Satellite MLS – including mod- ularity, small size, low noise and low power consumption – users will benefit from enhanced system longevity with reduced need for servicing.

Each projection Head is designed with a closed loop cooling sys- tem, essentially sealing all of the critical optical components from ingress of contaminants. A further benefit of the reduced thermal dissipation and small size is that supplementary environmental enclosures become easier to design and manufacture, further re- ducing total system costs and complexity.
