Polocrosse Tournament
at Warwick School of Riding, Warwickshire on Sunday 12th January 2020
he New Years Cup was held by The Knights of Middle England on the 12th January at The Warwick School of Riding in aid of charities supporting those affected by the Australian Bush Fires.

This inaugural event saw three teams battle it out in a round robin tournament to try and take first place and the trophy! The first chukkas were played by The Warwick Wasps against the Knights of the Racquet. Whilst the Wasps had a strong opening few minutes, it was the Knights who took the victory in the end by one goal.
Next up, the Warwick Wasps took on The Tasmanian Devils who lived up to their name and ran out the victors, running rings around the team in yellow!
The final battle was between the Knights of the Racquet and The Tasmanian Devils. Both teams were strong and played well, but unfortunately the Knights were not able to convert all their attempts on goal into points, meaning the Devils ran out the winners to take first place, with the Knights of the Racquet second, and the Warwick Wasps coming in third.
For many playing it was their first ever Tournament having only taken up the sport late last year so everyone did brilliantly well for their first competition!
The Knights of Middle England run regular polocrosse lessons at their base at The Warwick School of Riding on Wednesday evenings – do get in touch for more information if you fancy having a go!
