With a background in business development and operational management, Stella also set up and managed a translation and website design company. Stella joins the Chamber from eight years as a CEO in the third sector and recently completed a Masters in Employment Law. Richard Wright, Director at Sheffield Chamber,

said: “We are delighted to welcome Stella to the Chamber at such an exciting time. The Chamber board is currently engaged in a strategic review of what we want the Chamber to be and do over the next few years, and are actively consulting with members and staff about it. It is an open secret that the Chamber has to make decisions about its location from next year; Stella will be at the helm to steer us through the consequences of the above and we have great confidence in her. “We are rightly proud of the

support the Chamber gives to our members and the wider economy of Sheffield and have made great

strides over the past few years. We are, however, not complacent. The world continues to evolve (just look at Brexit!) and we know we have to evolve with it and help our members evolve also. Stella will be managing a great team who are true experts in their areas and collectively we are ready to support the city and its businesses.” Stella added: “I am honoured to be joining the Chamber at such an exciting time and look forward to leading a fantastic team, bringing fresh eyes and vibrancy to an organsation ready and willing for change. I am looking forward to meeting with some of our members, Patrons and supporters and finding out how we can best position the Chamber to offer the support and service needed to ensure the success of local businesses.”
